The Martyrs’ lake, surrounded by a perimeter wall, is amanmade pond designed with facilities around to host Mass. The deepest point of this Lake is nine feet and ten inches. There is plan to install a water purifier to clean the water for pilgrims to collect, drink or carry home. 

Three Popes, Bl. PaulVI in 1969, St. JohnPaul II in 1993 andFrancis in 2015 have celebrated Mass here,and it is where the annual Uganda Martyrs’ Day Celebrations are held.

This holy and miraculous water is used for bathing, washing hands and legs and sprinkling, and is carried by thousands of pilgrims. The purification, when completed, will make it fully consumable on spot.
